Multi-sectoral Stakeholder Consultation on Cancer in Malaysia

The goal of this consultation is to chart out possible approaches to help support and strengthen the Government of Malaysia’s existing implementation of the National Strategic Plan for Cancer Control Programme (2016 – 2020).

Organised as a response to increased public concern and attention on cancer, this consultation will compliment ongoing efforts to strengthen engagement and harness existing efforts to improve access to quality cancer care services through increased awareness and knowledge, informed recommendations, and support of multi-sectoral stakeholders.

The consultation will have two main outputs:

  • A compilation of key recommendations which will be produced and published at a later date
  • Formation of a multi-sectoral working group to assist in pushing forward the abovementioned recommendations at the policy level
