The Galen Centre for Health and Social Policy in collaboration with the National Cancer Society Malaysia, organised a pre-conference forum in advance of the World Cancer Congress held on Kuala Lumpur from 1- 4 October 2018.
The forum brought together patient groups, public and private cancer specialists, non-governmental organisations, policy makers and representatives from government ministries to be updated on the situation of cancer care in Malaysia.
The programme was intended to help mobilise and strengthen support for existing government and civil society efforts to improve access to quality cancer care services through informed recommendations, and support of multi-sectoral stakeholders.
